What is it?

This program equips schools with solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to promote renewable energy adoption and sustainability.

How it Works:

• Eligible schools receive funding for up to 6 kWp of roof-mounted solar PV.
• The program covers grid connection and monitoring infrastructure.
• Schools select contractors from the SEAI Non-Domestic Micro-Generator (NDMG) Company list via a competitive tender process.

Application Process:

• Schools register for the program and confirm eligibility.
• They obtain quotations from approved contractors.
• The Department of Education reviews and approves funding for selected projects.

Future Expansion:

• The program plans to include additional counties in 2024, ensuring widespread access to renewable energy solutions.
